Year 4 - Passionate Pankhurst

Mr Fenwick-Boylan - Classteacher

Teacher's Comments

Emmeline Pankhurst was one of the most influential British suffrage leaders. Her embrace of protest and direct action in the early 1900s marked a new phase in the battle for women's votes. Like Emmeline Pankhurst, the children will always have the opportunity to speak their mind, without the fear of failure

I know we will create a society where there are no rich or poor, no people without work or beauty in their lives, where money itself will disappear, where we shall all be brothers and sisters, where every one will have enough.

Emmeline encouraged women to act in order to achieve the goal that they had set themselves. Within Pankhurst class, together supporting one another, we will achieve all the personal goals that we have set out to complete at the end of the year.

Within the school's fun and creative curriculum, we will strive to challenge ourselves to always achieve the best that we can. This will be done collaboratively, like Emmeline Pankhurst, who had the full support of the women of Britain. We want your children's year to be full of happiness and for significant progress to be made. Our various different topics and themes are exciting and in engaging with all children being encouraged to question the world that they are living in.

I cannot wait for your children to join me in Pankhurst class and hopefully you can join us on the adventure that we are going to have in Year 4.
