Welcome to Optimistic Oval!

Named after the Oval Tube Station and its iconic cricket ground, our class takes pride in living up to its name—full of positivity and possibility. Just like the Oval Cricket Ground, our classroom is a place where great teams come together to play with passion and purpose, Oval Class is where we come together to learn, grow and shine as a team.

In Oval Class, our ethos is simple: we lead with optimism and positivity. We are a thoughtful, curious, imaginative and a confident group of learners, who are encouraged to be our best selves and build strong, respectful relationships. In the words of Rachel Bright from The Lion Inside: 'You don't have to be loud to be strong.'

We believe in the power of teamwork—after all, "Teamwork makes the dream work!" Together, we take care of ourselves, one another and our learning environment. We are passionate about learning and thrive through our school's creative and engaging curriculum. Our projects are designed to be exciting, inspiring, hands-on, sparking curiosity and encouraging exploration of the world around us.

This year, some of the exciting projects we'll be diving into include: 'I Love London', 'Moon Zoom', 'Paws, Claws and Whiskers', 'Enchanted Worlds', 'Dinosaur Discovery' and 'Life on a Plate'.

We'll keep you updated on our learning journeys, themes, upcoming events throughout the year and we look forward to working closely with families every step of the way.
