Welcome to the Marvellous Milne class,
Reading is such an important part of a child’s development so who better to be named after, than the incredible Alan Alexander Milne? He was a popular English author responsible for many fantastic stories and poems- most notably Winnie-the-Pooh. His stories have amazing characters who all have their part to play to make sure everybody can achieve their goals.
The theme of Winnie-the-Pooh describes the importance of maintaining strong relationships, feeling positive and to never give up. They work together to solve problems, as well as, supporting and helping each other grow. A.A Milne has many quotes that resonate with the journey of the development of character and believing in yourself, summarised with one of my favourite quotes:
...there is something you must always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think…
Through determination, resilience and encouragement instilled throughout the classroom environment, will we all be able to live up to the strong messages outlined by Milne.
Every learning opportunity, enables the development of the skills needed to become lifelong learners. In Milne class, we are active and creative learners to ensure a deep love of learning in a happy and safe environment.
We welcome you into Year 3, and cannot wait to begin your exciting journey into Key Stage 2.
