Breakfast Club (available for 40 children)

The children are welcomed by the team and invited to join the morning session, which is filled with friendship and laughter. The staff have successfully led the club for a number of years and know the winning recipe for a positive start to the day. Children select their breakfast from a range of hot and cold items, before participating in play-based activities. Children are encouraged to interact with others from across the school and are always kept busy.

After School Club (available for 80 children)

£15.00 per session

Our experienced teams of staff collect children from their class at the end of the school day and lead them over to our Hyde Park Corner building, where both clubs are situated. A light snack, such as a piece of fruit and milk, is provided on arrival to refresh after a fun-packed day of learning. There are activities planned within each session that caters for the various age ranges and interests of the children attending. Weekly planning takes into account themed weeks, festivals and celebrations and is line with the range of projects that children learn in school. Children come together for a light ‘tea’ halfway through the session – a weekly menu is available on request. Children have free flow access to the playground and dual park area.

How can I book a place for my child?

Children can be booked into the clubs on an annual basis. In order to secure their place, payment must be received a month in advance for each month. We operate on a first come, first served basis. Booking forms are available both via the school office and/or via the school website. If you wish to complete the form electronically, it can be downloaded as a PDF file and emailed directly to Mrs Samboer at esamboer@singlegate.merton.sch.uk This will ensure that all forms arrive securely. Mrs Samboer will continue to be responsible for all bookings. Please note, Reception children and new children to Singlegate will not be permitted to use the Breakfast and After School clubs the first week that they join us, as this will allow for a period of settling during their transition into the school. It is worth booking well in advance to avoid disappointment. If your child is absent due to sickness we will not be able to refund the booking fee. Payments for extended services provision using the childcare vouchers will continue with the current booking arrangements. Please note that if a session is booked and a space in an extra-curricular club becomes available, the cancelled session will not be charged for.

Cancellation of bookings must be made one month in advance.

Please note that all bookings made on the day must be received before 2:00pm, as your child’s place will not be guaranteed and you may be called to come and collect. Children must not arrive to either club without prior bookings having been made and confirmation of booking being received from Mrs Samboer.
